Samar R. Hazzan, M.D., completed her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, completed her internship and residency at the Cabrini/Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and performed a critical care medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Dr. Hazzan is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in inpatient hospital medicine. She joined Lakeside Medical Associates as a hospitalist in 2006. She is board eligible for critical care/intensive care medicine.

Dr. Hazzan maintains professional memberships with the Society for Critical Care Medicine and Society of Chest Physicians. She is affiliated Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and Valley Presbyterian Hospital.

In her spare time she likes playing the violin, hiking, biking, swimming, reading and especially enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter.
